February 2025 Range Day, Van Zandt County, TX

A solid day at the range!

I was able to help 5 brothers from local churches refine their handgun shooting and taught a few of them the basics of carbine. Glory to God - may these families and communities be that little bit harder to victimize.

The majority of these students had not had robust training in firearms or marksmanship outside of hunting as youth or mag dumping into trash, so they were able to experience a well structured, productive, efficient and most importantly safe range day. In our society, we still have a lot to do in pushing the needle toward responsible and capable firearms ownership!

Next time we will start scoring some shooting and working on improving students hit factor with some staple courses of fire.

We are also developing some good relationships here in Van Zandt County Texas and may be using this range for more events - stay tuned!
