In reality there is no "one size fits all" approach to preparedness. But, many people are looking for some direction when they decide to get serious about being prepared. While there is immense benefit to researching all the options and finding what may be the best exact fit... not everyone has that time or energy to commit. Some people have even told me, "just tell me what to buy." I further discuss the thought process behind this list here.
So, this list is a typical list, for the typical person, in typical circumstances, at a typical point in time. We are trying to make a generalized system of a healthy approach to preparedness, along with what I consider to be "acceptable" and affordable gear. I don't expect anyone to follow it exactly, but hopefully, it can give you a framework to work with, ideas to think about, build your confidence in your system, and maybe save you a little money and time. Follow the Links below to watch an explanation on each point.
